I am new to both anime and manga. About a year ago I was in a Barnes and Noble book store, and I was browsing the sci-fi book section which happened to be close to the manga section and I met a girl who was reading some of the manga books. I had never seen or heard of manga before so I asked her what manga was and why she liked it. She spent about 30 mintutes telling me all about it and by the end she recommended three different manga series to me, which I ended up buying just to see what it was all about. Personally, I was never into comic books or comic novels, so I found manga to be less interesting than just watching anime. However, I think that is just a personal preference. I don't think one is necessarily "better" than the other. Its just what you like better. |
